Jennifer and Matt got married at the Dearborn Inn, in, you guessed it, Dearborn MI. The ceremony was planned for outside at the gazebo and about the time we started shooting the romantics it started to rain. Hats off the the staff at Dearborn Inn and the wedding planner Tracie for moving the ceremony to the reception quickly.
In my opinion most wedding should have a wedding planner. The wedding planner can take so much energy, time and stress off the couple and family. This wedding was a great example. When the couple made the call to move inside, the ceremony was less than an hour away. Tracie took care of and supervised the transformation, leaving the couple and family to spend time with each other. In addition to handling unexpected events let a wedding planner manage the dozen of details and enjoy your special day.

On to pretty pictures
Melissa and Frank got married at Rivercrest in Rochester Hills MI. It was a lovely simple, elegant wedding. The most unique thing was Frank had a best man and Melissa had a man of honor. The bride had killer orange shoes and they ended up being the central focus of many shots. The sun was close to setting when we went out back for the romantic shots and I got to play with lens flare.
Here we finish with Amanda and Steve and start outside St Peter Lutheran with some fall country road shots and then on to Tina’ Country House in Macomb Twp. MI. We had just a little bit of time for Bridal party group shots outside and then inside for the reception and dancing. We later went back outside after sunset and even got the full moon.
I am so pleased with the images from Amanda and Steve’s wedding that I split them into two entries. This first post has images from Amanda’s house in Macomb Twp and goes through the ceremony. Amanda had a wonderful round mirror in her room that we used for some interest. The light coming in from the window made for beautiful bride portraits. Amanda’s parents home is a working farm house so we had fall trees and a weathered textured barn for backgrounds. The church is St Peter Lutheran in Lenox MI, a very nice country church on a dirt road.
Jenna and David got married at St. Stephen Luthern in Waterford. We had time for some wedding portraits before. The ceremony was very nice with wonderful family and friends. We then went to Depot Park in Clarkston for funs and romantics. We had limited access to the park due to a concert being set up. The wind helped me with a small gust just at the right times. The reception was at the Lafayette Grand in Pontiac.
Shots from Saturday’s wedding of Anna and Kurt at the First United Methodist Church of Wyandotte MI. Very nice church. After the service we went to Bishop Park on the Detroit River for funs and romantics. The reception was held at Arnaldos Banquet Center just south in Riverview. Arnaldos has a beautiful circular ceiling above the dance floor. It is deep blue with hundreds of tiny little lights illustrating the night sky.
I photographed the wedding of Alyssa and Colin in Ann Arbor. The ceremony was at the Kensington Court Hotel, where the wedding party got ready. The ceremony was a lovely out door event in the courtyard and as we started to do the formal photos, it started to rain. The family and wedding party were very cooperative and we got them done quickly. Of course it stopped raining as soon as we finished. We then got in the limo and shot around U of M locations, Law Quad, Michigan Union, West Hall Arch and ended up at the Big House, Michigan Stadium. When we got back to the hotel, we had some time for wedding portraits and some creative lighting.
